This shows how two of the universal RF amplifiers can be put together to make a single balanced mixer.
Remember to connect the G2 gates together. This mixer needs to be shielded from the other circuitry around it. One version I built on a circuit board only required a 1" tall piece of printed circuit board to shield it adequately. The post-mixer amplifier should be shielded, also. The LED's are not necessary for circuit performance, but as stated in the introduction, they are worth their weight in gold for the diagnosis they provide (and neat looks). |
